Seeing the need for all animals, not just dogs, Shalom Sanctuary develops it's unused acreage to house and care for farm animals.
About the Team
Brandi Cunningham | Founder and Dog Trainer
Brandi and her husband, Robyn, started Shalom Sanctuary to provide a peaceful place for dogs to be physically and emotionally restored, receive training and have a purpose. Their vision is to end dog homelessness and save them from euthanasia. Brandi has over 20 years of experience training dogs of all sizes, breeds and challenges. Brandi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organization. She is an AKC certified instructor and dog evaluator. She is certified in animal first aid and CPR, as well as specialized in aggression and anxiety management in dogs. Brandi enjoys being able to use her gifts as a way to give many dogs a second chance or to serve as emotional support animal/service dog. She believes it's never too late to train a dog. Recently, Brandi and Robyn felt a calling to open their property up to care for farm animals as well.
Outside of running the Sanctuary, Brandi and Robyn are parents to 3 beautiful boys and further serve God through an international ministry.
Brianna| Jr. Dog Trainer and Personal Assistant
Under Brandi and Robyn's leadership, Brianna provides animal care and training for our many dogs and other animals in the sanctuary. Brianna wears multiple hats and assists with adoptions, marketing, and other administrative support tasks.
Brianna serves as a mentor to new volunteers as well as works with families on how to best communicate with their newly adopted dog. She and Brandi love to tell perspective adopters all the unique things about the dogs' personality. Brianna enjoys getting to know the families and understand what kind of dog (and dog personality) they are looking for and help them best match with a dog onsite.
When Brianna is not working with that dogs, she can be found helping Brandi with the goats, sheep, and cows, in addition to fundraising activities to ensure that the sanctuary can continue to save and restore dogs from undesirable situations.
