Archie is a toy Aussie and Corgi mix that was a victim of animal cruelty. When we brought him into our program, he was aggressive and TERRIFIED of the world around him. Through our professional dog training program, and the love and care he received from the staff, he made a full recovery and was adopted out to a wonderful family.
Archie has since been named Bruno, and he is having the time of his life, living it up as king of the hill at his new home. His parents are madly in love with him and couldn’t imagine life without him!
Dixie's owner passed away before she was a year old. Through the Paws4Purpose program, she came to Shalom Sanctuary to be a Service Dog for Vets. Dixie excelled in her training and became an amazing service and mobility dog as well as an emotional support dog for vets with advance PTSD. Watch this video of her meeting her new owner. It was as if she knew she was meant to be.
Anberlin was raised in the shelter her whole life. After 7months of not being adopted, we pulled her into the Sanctuary. She was under confident and scared, and was reactive to other dogs. We spent lots of time building confidence and socializing her with humans and animals, taught her the basic commands, and adopted her out to an amazing family that couldn’t imagine their lives without her today. She has a preschool aged best friend and another dog friend, and they are absolutely inseparable!
Anna was surrendered to us as “too difficult for anyone else to handle her”. Under our dog training program, Anna became a well trained emotional support animal ready for her new home. Anna is now with her mom and is treated like a true princess! Anna goes to her parents house and plays with her neice and sisters dog, goes to outside church functions, and keeps her owner healthy by giving her a reason to get out everyday. She is the emotional support now that the mom needed and enjoys dog ice cream on her birthdays. We’re so thankful she is giving sweet Anna the pawfect life she deserves!
