Keegan was found as a puppy on the side of the road in Oklahoma, where an awesome rescue there brought him in, and got him into boarding so he would be off the streets. All of his siblings got adopted but him. He was pulled from there by us because he was not being adopted and living as a puppy in a boarding facility for 6 months. When he came to Shalom Sanctuary, he so scared that he wouldn’t even stand to approach you, but would crouch and release his urine every time. It took a lot of confidence building exercises, but he is SO great now and is ready for a home as a pet, an emotional support dog, or can become a service dog with just a little more training. Keegan is now 2 years old and is so sweet, and has a smile that will light up your whole world! He has been well socialized with dogs and kids as well, fully potty and crate trained, good with cats, and other animals as far as we know. Keegan knows all basic commands including, come, sit, down, place, heel, break, off (the command that stops all unwanted behavior), and some advanced training as well. He is one of the most wiggly pups we have at the sanctuary, he is so excited to greet anyone he comes in contact with. The family or individual that is approved to adopt Keegan will be trained on his commands and how to upkeep his training. He is a steal, and would make anyone proud to call him his/her own. Help us find him the home he deserves where he can snuggle with you on the couch and not be in a kennel all day. He’s very emotional and sweet and loves to be by your side, but does not have any separation anxiety. Such a good dog!
